It seems that telehealth is our ‘new normal’, established by the Covid-19 pandemic. It does have some advantages. It eliminates travel time to and from the session. If you work from home you may be able to arrange sessions during the day. And you’re no longer constrained by how far you live from a therapy office. (Note: I’m licensed only in New Jersey. So I’ll only be able to provide psychotherapy to you if you’re a New Jersey resident.)
For now telehealth is the only way I’ll be making sessions available. I’m currently using the Simple Practice application which is very simple to use. It’s free. As long as you have a device equipped with wifi, a camera, and a microphone you’ll simply click on a link to join the session.
I use a high quality webcam and have a fiber optic Internet connection.
